Usually, when I play games for review on PS4, I end up taking a few screenshots here and there to help illustrate my points. I think I’ve maybe taken ten at a time, never more than necessary, but with Days Gone something weird happened. I took about eight hundred pictures and couldn’t stop. Eight hundred. Now some of these were pretty bad, so I went through and deleted what I could, but when I was still left with well over five hundred, I figured I had to do something. Who wants to let all that work go to waste? Certainly not me.
I decided to compile about fifty of the best shots I had and present them to you all as a photo gallery. Some are carefully composed, some were taken on the fly, and since they’re only snippets of a journey that took well over sixty hours, I’ve decided to arrange them in a random, ever-changing order. Just refresh the screen and you’ll see what I mean.
I’ve tried not to include too many spoilers for Sony Bend’s latest game, though some minor ones will be there. However, what you’ll mostly see are beautiful vistas, portraits of Deacon, and some of the best glitches and bugs I managed to capture. Quite a few are also the result of a surprisingly beefy Photo Mode included in the game, so if you like weird neon blues and depth of field play, then this is for you.
Sidenote: if you like features like this, please let me know! I’m always looking for different ideas to keep people reading, and this is just the latest format I’m trying out. If you like it, I’d be happy to make another when a deserving game comes along. If you don’t, I’m sorry! I want to hear your feedback!
