Today is the third day of E3 2019, and while I didn’t get a chance to go to California to visit the show itself, I still got a lot done. After getting up at 10:00 AM to prepare for the Nintendo Direct that morning, I spent the rest of the day listening to people at the show and watching gameplay. I also spent time reflecting on what the show has been like so far, and really taking the opportunity to clean my house. Seriously. I reorganized my room a bit, washed my bathroom floor, cleaned the toilet – like I said, I ended up getting a lot done. I think the results speak for themselves. You can find my Day 1 reactions here, and my Day 2 reactions here.
My favorite highlights:
–Several Dragon Quest Heroes and Banjo & Kazooie are all headed to Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
–Out on Switch today: Collection of Mana, including Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana.
–Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets a delayed release date: March 20, 2020.
–The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gets a sequel.
–The remake for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening releases on Sept. 20 with dungeon creation.
–Luigi’s Mansion 3? More like Luigi’s Hotel Mario.
Stuff I Overlooked Before:
–Out of nowhere, Konami announces the TurboGrafx-16 Mini.
–It’s safe to say we won’t see the second part of Final Fantasy VII Remake for a few years.
–Limited Run will release a bunch of Star Wars games soon, including Bounty Hunter this month.
–Have you ever heard of Skatebird?
–12 Minutes also looks great, and it’s been in development for years.
–And Dragon Ball Z Kakarot looks like another Dragon Ball Z RPG.
