Hello all, it’s E3 time once again! Instead of just posting links to all of the gaming news coming out of the convention like last year, I thought I’d try something different and record my impressions of the show in short, punchy clips. I go over some of my favorite moments of the Microsoft and Bethesda press conferences from E3 2019, and also briefly cover some news that happened before the event. If you like this stuff, let me know! I’ll be back with more tomorrow. If you’d like to follow along, there’s a nebulous PC Gaming Show at 12:00 PM Central time, Ubisoft’s press conference will be at 3:00 PM, and Square Enix’s conference will be at 8:00 PM.

My favorite highlights:

Microsoft:

The Hidetaka Miyazaki/George R. R. Martin collaboration is real and called Elden Ring.
Double Fine Productions is now a first party Microsoft developer.
Keanu Reeves is in Cyberpunk 2077; also unveils release date: April 16, 2020.
Japanese MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 finally comes West.
I really want to play Way to the Woods.
The Xbox 900 (as I so desperately want to call it, but it’s Project Scarlett) will launch Holiday 2020.

Bethesda:

Ghostwire: Tokyo From Tango Gameworks steals the show.
Arkane Lyon’s Deathloop also looks amazing.
The new Wolfenstein: Youngblood trailer shows plenty of Old BJ Blazkowicz.
DOOM Eternal comes out November 22 and yes, it will have another multiplayer mode.
The Commander Keen iOS game is…different.
Mobile game The Elder Scrolls: Blades is coming to Switch, and it’s still free.

I’ll be posting for the next few days as E3 continues to churn out news. As always, I’m available in the comments below, on Twitter, and by email: dcichocki(at)tiltingwindmillstudios.com.
